Ferrari: Desire to react after the slap in Istanbul

The Turkish slap hurt but Ferrari certainly doesn't want to turn the other cheek. The ten points collected yesterday afternoon, the result above all of a very negative qualifying which highlighted a notable performance deficit compared to McLaren and Red Bull, are too small a haul for a team that wants to fight for the title: everyone in Maranello is aware of this they are perfectly aware.

“We must react immediately and demonstrate our value” — said Stefano Domenicali at the end of the usual Monday debriefing — “The ability to develop the car has always been one of Ferrari's strong points and there are no reasons why it isn't still : the men are the same, as are the working methods. Yesterday on the track, at the end of the race, I spoke to the journalists about the need to be innovative and creative and I passed this message on to the technicians in this morning's meeting. Ours is a strong and united group and has a great desire to show what it is made of."

Meanwhile, the team is already working to prepare for the trip to Canada. The machines and material used at Istanbul Park are traveling by ship to the port of Trieste and will be in Maranello on Wednesday: two more days and then they will have to be loaded onto the cargo ship bound for Montreal. There is no moment of respite in this very intense season.

  • I apologize to everyone, but this - unfortunately - seems like the usual "blah blah blah" to which Domenicali has accustomed us for years.

I would prefer silence (maybe even press silence) accompanied by evident progress by the team (technicians/mechanics/pilots), all immediately.

    But I can't dream anymore. ;-)

  • I agree... Sunday management is no longer credible. Goodbye to dreams of glory

  • Stefano Domenicali is a prepared and intelligent person. Let's not forget that he was also behind the successes of Michael and Todt. He didn't become incapacitated all at once. Let him work in peace. He has the right attributes to make the team react. He proved it with Baldisseri. When he did stupid things he sent him away.
The calculations are done in the end.

  • yes, yes...a true genius...
the usual piripì and piripà... but is it possible that they don't realize that in certain situations it is better (much) to remain silent?
However, the funniest thing is the "fans"...
a psychoanalyst would find plenty of study material...

  • Montezemolo would do very well to think about leaving Domenicali at home, giving up on this season because it is now lost and telling Domenicali not to bore us with his usual clichés. For two years, Domenicali has been telling us that the team will react and those who love the Ferrari has been waiting two years.

  • We don't attribute merits to Domenicali that he doesn't have, I wonder if he had inherited a team in disarray like TOD had at the time, in any case the problem is only of a technical nature and if I'm not mistaken the person responsible is Costa Engineer, the I think it's really hard to recover...currently we were able to limit the damage because Massa and Alonso "especially the latter" gave their all and Alonso's mistakes bear witness to this. Currently the Ferrari is missing 5 tenths and that's quite a lot... let's hope for a miracle......... but you love the Ferrari regardless.

  • Domenicali is good, but he's not a winner.
It's a bit like the Mass of the situation...
    Excellent but sporadic performance.
I think he lacks some attributes
