F1 | Irvine: “Verstappen reminds me of Schumacher, even if he is too aggressive”

Eddie Irvine spares no comparisons. For the former Ferrari driver Max Verstappen he resembles Michael Schumacher, with whom the Northern Irishman shared the Prancing Horse garage between 1996 and 1999, even if he lets that aggressive component and various errors prevail which from his point of view they still make a difference. While as far as Charles Leclerc is concerned, Irvine believes that the current leader of the world championship classification has taken that mental step which is being reflected in the results achieved so far on the track.

"Leclerc and Verstappen are very strong. Lewis Hamilton is also exceptional, although I don't think he has the same speed as Verstappen – Irvine declared to La Gazzetta dello Sport – Nobody is faster than Verstappen, even if he makes a lot of mistakes. Max reminds me of Michael Schumacher. Verstappen lets himself be carried away by aggression, while Leclerc is very intelligent, has personality and is mature. Verstappen from this point of view seems younger mentally, but he has a lot of talent".
