800 Grands Prix for Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro

The Turkish Grand Prix marks a historic stage in the history of Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro. The eight hundredth Grand Prix of the Maranello team in the Formula 1 World Championship was held at Istanbul Park.

Ferrari is the only one to have participated in all editions of the top motor racing competition and holds all the records: world championship titles for Drivers (15) and Constructors (16); victories (211), podium placings (632: in addition to the successes there are 223 second and 198 third places), pole positions (203) and fastest laps in the race (221).

“Eight hundred Grands Prix in Formula 1 represent a milestone in the life of Ferrari, which fills us with satisfaction and pride” - declared Ferrari President Luca di Montezemolo - “Today we want to share with all the drivers who have driven one of our single-seaters in World Championship and with our fans the joy of reaching this extraordinary goal. It's nice to be able to look behind us and see what we've done together, knowing that we're part of a story that continues and has no equal.”

First as Sports Director (1973-1976) and then as President (from the end of 1991), Luca di Montezemolo was the protagonist of 359 of the 799 chapters in the history of Ferrari in Formula 1, winning a total of 17 world titles (7 Drivers and 10 Manufacturers) as well as 123 Grands Prix.

Other records held by Scuderia Ferrari and the drivers who raced with it are: points in the Constructors' Championship (4229,5), consecutive victories (14, 1952-1953), doubles (80), victories in a season (15, 2002 and 2004), victories in a season per driver (13, Schumacher 2004), consecutive victories per driver (9, Ascari 1952-1953), consecutive podium placings per driver (19, Schumacher 2001-2002), doubles per driver pair ( 24, Schumacher-Barrichello 2000-2005), consecutive points finishes by driver (24, Schumacher 2001-2003).

Ferrari celebrates its 10th Grand Prix with a special logo that will decorate the bonnet of Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso's FXNUMXs this weekend.
