Brawn, “Our year will be 2014”

Ross Brawn is in a budgetary mood and in an interview with Eurosport he tried to explain the reasons that made Mercedes fall further and further into the bottom as the 2012 championship progressed after a positive start, – “We had created a car decent but then we weren't able to make it progress enough despite having invested in new resources, so we are working so that this problem doesn't happen again and we can always be ahead; we have also modernized the wind tunnel so I feel optimistic for 2013”. For the English boss, however, real success could come in the near future, – “We have managed to create a very compact working group and there is great collaboration between the engine and chassis departments, so I think that for us the greatest opportunity will be in 2014 when this relationship will become fundamental and we can demonstrate our strength. This was one of the reasons that convinced Hamilton to join the team."
